It’s been so long since we’ve (and most of us have) had a vacation that the thought of dressing up for it was so appealing! Usually I don’t think too much about my outfits, but admittedly, I tend to dislike the photos of travel photos with me in them when my outfits weren’t really thought out. So I’m trying to change that.
Outfit 01.
My main swimsuit (above) is my favorite from my small collection. It’s by Zimmermann, an Australian brand I absolutely admire whose swimsuit collections always impress me. This particular piece is a plunging v-neck in the front and back, while still being a somewhat modest one-piece. The print is what first drew me to it – that deep emerald hue with peacock motifs. And then, to top it off, pretty bows as shoulder straps!
Outfit 02.
For our anniversary dinner, I wanted something that was more formal and sophisticated, as we were dining at the “Chef’s Table”. Funnily, this slip dress is actually a night gown (*shuuush* ;D) from Victoria’s Secret! It’s a beautiful dress. I just realized that I am not a fan of wearing night gowns to bed, and figured it probably can be worn outside like a normal dress! I paired it with Saint Laurent’s Medium Envelope Bag, a bag that I’ve been dying to wear since getting it a couple of months ago.
Outfit 03.
For a couple of days, I was almost an outfit repeater, which is just fine. Honestly, I loved every piece in this outfit. The top is a basic white tank top but with a contemporary twist from Banana Republic that fits amazingly well. The skirt is a cute and flirty one from Abercrombie and Fitch that I find goes with so many things (similar). I’ve been also been patiently waiting to use my Staud Tan Moreau bag and where better but on a beach vacation?
Outfit 04.
Abercrombie has pulled through for me yet again on this trip. It’s strange, when I was a teenager, this brand was really off-putting to me for a multitude of reasons. But recently, they’ve really changed their game and I’m all for it. This gingham Smocked Squareneck Minidress makes for such a perfect spring / summer dress. It fits well, it’s lined, AND it has pockets! What’s not to like?
Outfit 05.
Like I said, outfit repeater. But this time, I changed out the top for a Free People bralette. They don’t have this chocolate color listed on the site anymore, unfortunately. This is the first time I’ve worn something like a bralette out in public, and I felt comfortable enough in it 😀
